It Begins!

Here I  am at the train station waiting for my first "flight" which is a bus to take me to Montreal for the real flight to Paris overnight, then down to Biarritz then Bayonne and ultimately to St. Jean-Pied-de-Port (SJPdP). I am so excited and seems a bit unreal. I hope the people who wanted to hear from me can access this. Pretty boring so far but hopefully better once all this ( non-walking ) travel is done.

Camino Countdown - Day -1 ( or really Day -3 from when I start walking)

Very, very excited and trying to make sure everything that needs to be done here is done. Biggest stress is this blog which may never see the light of day. I tried to access it from my iPhone and got a nasty email wondering if I had done that (well, yes) because it wasn't the right ?platform. If so, it ain't gonna fly as the iPhone is all I am taking with me to Spain and I won't be able to count on internet cafes (or the time to find and use them) to update it. Need to look into this but I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THIS S#!T....stay tuned...if there is anyone out there....

Camino Countdown - Day -3

Starting on my Camino journey on Wed. April 29 and starting this blog to update my friends and family about what I'm up to. Hopefully it works as I am somewhat hopeless at this stuff.

Today, starting packing in earnest with way too much stuff spread out on the bed, waiting for the OK to get put in the suitcase. Also I am obsessing about footwear, foot care, travel documents and itinerary and last minute STUFF. More later...
