Rest day for me but unfortunately, it's Sunday and all the shops are closed. All I could do was wander around, sample tapas ( or raciones, no more pinxos), amazing rioja wines. Then a siesta. There is a lovely bridge as you come into town with running/cycling paths beside the river. Looked just like Ottawa on a Sunday morning with everyone out there doing their routine.
There were these huge birds coming into nest on the church and I realized they were storks. I have seen them since in other places, nesting on church steeples - Guess they like the height but what a racket from the bells all day!

Lunch was wine and beer snacks, dinner was a bunch of tapas at different places, sorry no pics
Back to work (walking) tomorrow.
Judith! The weather looks amazing.. and loving the posts! Those poppies and roses are gorgeous. Love those doors as well. Great you're meeting some good people along the way- a Haligonian no less! Most of all love the look of that Rioja. Can't believe you're in the heart of the region. That could be motivating ;) Enjoy!!
