Logrono to Najera - May 11, 2015

This was a long walk day, the first challenge was to find my way out of town. Luckily easier than Pamplona so hoping for good walk karma today. Initially through park land and trails around a lake where guys were fishing.
The walk today was relatively easy (amazing how standards change after doing this for over a week!) although about 28 km. I was tired at the end but functional.

Leaving Logrono - interesting plaza seating

A wall mural with some of the "sellos" you get on your Camino passport along the way - scary looking dude though!

Lots and lots of vineyards

Navarette - halfway for the day - up ahead

The ruins are actually hidden by the sign, not one of my better efforts.
This is from the 12th century
This is the Don Jacobo winery
Selfie of me in front of the winery

Stunning interior of the Church of the Assumption in Navarette
El Gato
Gate to 13th century cemetary

Onward we go..
Just about 200km into the walk...about 600 to go!
Sheep!!!...and big sky.
